Hmmm. OK, so I go to the daily dredge blog and lo and behold. Much to my surprise I see that it is pink. Let me say that this was not my doing.....neither is the cute heart in the corner. We will see if that will change or not. More than likely it will stay as is, I am not good with coordinating colors and such. Peridically I may change it to something more "man-friendly"...we'll see.
Anyhow, on to what I currently have on my mind.
Recently I read a statement from a company that goes by the philosophy of "Committed to loving, giving and caring". This year I am going to try to live by this.
Committed to loving. Not just loving our significant other, but loving all of those that come into our lives. Do I show I love others by my deeds and actions? I need to work on it.
Commited to giving. Giving does not have to be in monetary or something tangible. A pat on the back for a co-worker, a complement for a nice outfit or something as simple as a smile flashed to a stranger might be just what the recipient needs to make their day. Are we in the habit of saying thanks and please to those we interact with on a daily basis? I try to, but I falter.
Committed to caring. Caring for those less fortunate than us, caring for a cause, caring for a stranger in need. Do we tune out people that come to us with their life problems? I've been known to. Hopefully I can learn to be more caring and show more empathy in the future.
I hope to better myself this year, and I hope we humans can do so. Especially that asshole at the park that nearly ran me over cause he was in such a rush.
